Elektra Belle Epoque’s turn-of-the-century styling and eagle-topped dome make it one of the most stunning and distinctive espresso machines available. This full-size vertical machine is hand-built with many artistic touches, from it’s meticulously sculptured inlays to it’s Briarwood coloured bakelite appointments.
Beautiful screw-type steam controls usher powerful jets designed to easily micro-foam milk, while the built-in cup-warming compartment inside the dome accommodates several to several dozen cups. The patented disc-shaped boiler gives it the highest tea-water and steam capacity in its category.
Belle Epoque comes with standard Volumetric programming (except 1-group model), which allows a barista to program 4 espresso shot volumes per group, thereby pulling shots at that exact volume every time. Shots are more consistent between users and – because the barista doesn’t have to monitor the espresso – there is more time to interact with customers or begin another order.
Comes in a highly polished Chrome or Copper & Brass finish, and a limited-edition distressed brass version called “Riforma”, each with wooden or briarwood-coloured accents.
3 Models Available:
Belle Epoque 3-Group comes with 3 brew groups, 1 steam wand, 1 hot water spout, 2 entry points to the cup-warmer and a large 12.5 litre boiler for maximum performance.
Suitable for: high volume locations, high quality coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, locations with less experienced baristas
Belle Epoque 2-Group comes with 2 brew groups, 1 steam wand, 1 hot water spout, and a large 9 litre boiler for good steam & boiling water capacity.
Suitable for: medium to high volume locations, high quality coffee shops, restaurants, hotels, locations with less experienced baristas
Belle Epoque 1-Group is the most compact version of this machine. There is no compromise on quality, but it is semi-automatic (on/off switch to deliver espresso shots) and delivers lower coffee production and limited steam & boiling water from it’s 5 litre boiler. It also requires a little extra space (typically under the counter) for its very quiet external pump/motor.
Suitable for: low volume locations including home & office, restaurants, hotels, small shops, smaller equipment budgets
Volumetric Dosing (except 1-group model) means Barista programs 4 espresso shot volumes (single/double/short/long/etc) per group (identically or independently) for one-touch operation & consistency between users
Retro screw-type steam controls for traditional adjustable steam pressure
Built-in cup-warming compartment inside the dome
Patented disc-shaped compact boiler with fast heat recovery means more sustained steam pressure & simultaneous tea/Americano water than other vertical machines (3-Group & 2-Group models; more limited on 1-Group model)
5 lb brass groups provide improved brew temperature stability
Raised groups fit most larger cups, with portable risers included for smaller cups
Portafilters are solid chrome-plated brass with ergonomic wooden or bake-lite grips for minimizing stress on Barista’s wrist
Automated Backflushing for fast & easy group cleaning
Dual Pressure Gauges (pump & steam pressure) makes it easy to check pressure profiles and monitor machine performance
Water level Indicator makes it easy to monitor boiler water levels
