Alex PID Plus

Izzo Alex PID Plus comes in a matte black, matte white, or mirror-finish 304 stainless steel finish, with beautiful rounded heat-protective body side panels and a selection of different coloured accents (black, white, red or wood levers, knobs, portafilters & tamper).

Alex shares the most features with a commercial machine: a “rotary” pump delivers ideal and completely stable brew pressure while being more durable and running quieter than standard vibration pumps; a digital P.I.D. (with integrated shot timer) allows you to adjust steam pressure and brew temperature to your liking; and the hot water spout gives instant boiling water, while the cool-touch steam wand (with 4 different steam tips to choose from) delivers powerful simultaneous steam.

And the Alex utilizes the most industrial-grade components and best designed internal layout of any E61-style semi-commercial machine, and even includes two conversion kits if you decide to run a direct water-line and/or drainage like a commercial machine.

Topping it off is our custom Zuccarini E61 group temperature modification performed at the factory in Italy to our unique specifications. Unlike all other E61-style machines, Alex does not require cooling flushes, heating flushes (like dual boiler versions do), or other methods for “temperature surfing”: it maintains the perfect balance between powerful steam pressure and stable, consistent temperature in the brew group, which is adjustable via the integrated P.I.D. This allows for creamy espresso at your ideal temperature every time, without the burden of pre-flushing the group or sacrificing steam pressure.
